Our Experience at BUSHI

We are so thankful to have found The Bushi Group! My son has been training with Bushi for five months and we couldn't be happier. He has been diagnosed with several different learning disabilities with accompanying physical limitations, and we were anxious to find a school that would be able to help him improve physically as well as academically. In a few short months, it has been amazing to see the progress he has made in the dojo as well as in his school work.

The instructors are all phenomenal. They are all world class champions who have been training and successfully competing for years, and they take a genuine interest in each student. They are constantly working to help you perfect your technique. Great explanations are given as to why each move is important, how it works, and how to control a situation. As much as my son is taught how to take down his opponent, he is also taught how to resolve situations in a peaceful manner. I am very happy that he is taught responsibility for his actions as well as when and where it is appropriate for him to use the karate skills he has learned.

Bushi is very much a family. They instantly made my son feel welcome and a part of the group. They listen to my concerns as a parent and remember areas where my son struggles. They always encourage him to do his best. They are patient when necessary, redirect his attention when appropriate, and always spur him on to excellence. Not only the instructors, but every student takes an active role in helping each other improve. I was extremely impressed with the level of involvement the other students have taken in helping each other excel rather than only focusing on their own advancement.

Our son has already improved in his concentration with his school work. His stamina and endurance have also greatly improved. Attending Bushi has been such a positive experience for him. He has had a love and a passion for karate "as long as I knew it existed," he will say. Joining The Bushi Group was the best choice we could have made for him.

The instructors have definitely been instrumental in helping him with so much more than learning karate. They care about his success in the dojo and out. They are helping to build his self-confidence through disciplined training while making it fun, exciting, and everything a 10 year old boy could hope for.

I would highly recommend The Bushi Group to anyone of any age or skill level. Bushi will greatly exceed your expectations!
